“So many of our customers will welcome the ability to easily calibrate their listening environment where Anubis is already their critical monitoring unit.” “It was always our dream to add productivity and utility features to Anubis and this partnership with SoundID Reference exactly fulfills that,” adds Claude Cellier, Merging founder and president. “Together, we’re improving the production process with accurate, high-quality sound that creators can trust.” “We’re excited to take this step forward with Merging Technologies to deliver the first-ever SoundID Reference enabled hardware that doesn’t require music creators to use a computer to leverage our calibration software,” Martins Popelis, co-founder of Sonarworks.

The calibration software operates in the background to remove unwanted coloration, delivering accurate studio reference sound at very low latency. Music creators can now mix regardless of the source they are listening to, whether that be a computer, DAW, live mic, etc., by producing a flat, consistent sound wherever they work from.
With SoundID Reference enabled, it’s the first time Sonarworks calibration software can be used solely through a piece of hardware without being tethered to a computer.
Everything is controlled from the built-in touchscreen and/or from any tablet or computer. The partnership is designed to enable a more seamless workflow for music creators and engineers to experience accurate sound correction at very low latency on multiple outputs simultaneously.Īnubis is an audio interface presenting mastering grade loudspeaker and headphone outputs, Merging’s mic pres and line outs as well as a monitoring engine. The new supported models come in both wired and wireless configurations as well as a variety of price points, making Reference 4 more accessible to engineers on-the-go than ever before.Sonarworks calibration software released earlier this year, SoundID Reference (previously Reference 4 software), will now be included in the Merging Technologies interface and system controller MERGING+ANUBIS, marking the first hardware to enable SoundID Reference correction outside of a computer. The addition of these new models - which include headphones from existing supported manufacturers such as Sony, Sennheiser, and JBL as well as new additions from House of Marley, Taotronics, and Brainwavz - bring the total count of supported headphones up to 247, a number which Sonarworks says will continue to increase. Latvian audio software developers Sonarworks have just announced the addition of 17 new supported headphone models for their best-in-class audio calibration software Reference 4.
